Item arrived promptly...

Item arrived promptly as with my previous purchase with Bud's, and was as pictured except it had a stainless barrel instead of the matte black barrel as shown. Item was advertised as factory new but the product box (not the shipping box) was torn and had obviously been opened as indicated by multiple different layers of packing tape (which were not even sealing the box). I do not believe the gun had been fired (other than test firing at the factory), but it showed signs of wear including scratches on the barrel, magazine and well, heavy scratches on the right side of the lower receiver, free float tube around the sling studs, and the integrated picatinny rail on the upper receiver. Upon receipt of the gun, Bud's website showed the product to be out of stock. My previous purchases of factory new Colt ARs did not show the same wear and tear out of the box. Functionally, the gun should be fine, but for the price, I would have liked to have been the one to ding it up rather than having someone else knock it around, but I did not want to send it back as the item seems to be out of stock with all Internet dealers (and now with Bud's as well). Looking forward to hitting the range.
