Very happy with Buds....
Very happy with Buds. I was looking to buy the next model down the CRE-18tG2 and Buds was originally out of stock on both models but then Buds listed the CRP-18G2 for the same price that everyone else was selling the lower CRE18tG2 for so I bought this model instead. A month or two goes buy and I happen to be talking with Colt Competition via email and he informs me that the CRP18G2 normally comes with a HB (heavy barrel) which has a .75 inch max diameter however they made a special run of about 100 CRP18g2's with a heavier barrel (HB+) with a max barrel diameter of .83 so I removed the hand-guard and measured mine with a caliper and it was one of the 100 with the HB+ barrels which actually costs a little more. I verified with the Spec sheet for the CRP18g2 and it confirms the normal barrel is a HB of .75 diameter. Way to go Buds, the best price and a rare better version of the rifle with a heavier barrel. I like the Luth stock too. Rifle is very accurate. I'm glad I bought this when I did. very satisfied customer.
