The Colt Match Target M4 MT6400 is a lightweight AR-15-pattern rifle configured for target shooting and general sporting use. Its 5.56 NATO chamber also accepts .223 Remington ammunition, while the 16.1-inch chrome-lined barrel uses a 1:7 right-hand twist to stabilize a broad range of bullet weights, including common 55-grain loads and heavier 77-grain projectiles. A direct impingement operating system, rotary locking bolt, flat-top receiver, fixed synthetic stock, and bare muzzle provide a practical configuration modeled on Colt’s standard M4 and 6920 pattern rifles.
