The CORE15 M4 Scout is a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and capable of accepting .223 Remington ammunition. Its direct gas impingement system, forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, and 16-inch 4140 steel barrel provide a practical, familiar platform for range use, training, and general-purpose rifle applications. The flat-top upper receiver features a 1913 Picatinny rail for mounting an optic, while the F-marked A-frame front sight base and standard rear sight arrangement support conventional aiming. A six-position collapsible stock, M4-style polymer handguards, A2 pistol grip, and A2 flash hider complete the traditional M4 configuration. The unloaded rifle weighs 5.9 pounds and has a six-position stock-adjusted overall length from 32.5 to 36.5 inches.

This Core 15 Scout is...
This Core 15 Scout is an excellent carbine. It's trim weight makes it ideal to bring along on a camping trip. An added plus is that when I was breaking it in, it actually enjoyed steel cased ammo, with not a single malfunction or failure to feed or eject during the whole breakin period which was 500 rounds. My wife has adopted this carbine as her own, and enjoys shooting it.
