A: Peter, Overall Weight is 8lbs and the Muzzle Brake will shave approximately 30% recoil from the rifle. The DuraSight Scope Rail will accept either Weaver or Picatinny Scope Rings. A: Ben - I would suggest calling CVA at 770-449-4687 and asking them. I'm sure they could tell you the exact thread pattern they use for the muzzle brake on this rifle - and that way you could be certain.

A: Ben, this rifle has a 25" Fluted Stainless Steel Barrel (416 Grade Stainless Steel) with a 1:20" Twist Rate and The thread is 18mm X 1mm.

A: They are not designed to be interchangeable and CVA does not sell barrel assemblies (just complete rifles). I suspect that they would swap and fit with some fitting required. If you want interchangeability Please stick with the TC and save yourself a headache

A: Gabe, This firearm is not designed to interchange barrels. You and your gunsmith might be able to figure something out, but sure it would void all warranties.

A: Randy said it best Gabe. If you want a 'modular' interchangeable system . stick with TC. They have thrived on that concept.

A: Gabe, The only current production CVA centerfire rifle model that is a switch barrel is the Apex, the Scout doesn't have the option of interchangable barrels like the Apex or TC Encore and Contender.
