I tried a lot of semi auto 22 Magnums before this CZ 512. I give it an A grade in every category except the trigger. There is no upgrade and it sucks. This is my favorite Coyote gun

Was very excited too...
Was very excited too purchase this rifle. That is until I went to shoot it. After about 50 rounds rifle needs to be cleaned or being a semi auto it will have trouble cycling. This happened several times and soon after I sold it. Possibly 22 magnum is too dirty to use in a semi auto.

Was looking for a 22MAG rifle and decided on this over the competitors based on Black Birch hardware and size. Looked at velocity charts for 22 MAG and the barrel length didn't seem to matter because the chart I saw depended more on the ammo manufacturer than the barrel length. It is a quick handling solid rifle and as accurate as expected for a rimfire semi auto with a so-so trigger at 100 yards. Could consistently hit the center of a 3in steel target at 100 yards after break-in with a 2-7x scope. I shot three types of ammo first time out - CCI A22, CCI Choot EM 40gn JHP and Winchester 40gn FMJ. All three produced jams in the first 30 rounds as I expected, after 50 - 60 rounds all three functioned without issue. Velocity checked and temp was about 45 deg F at an elevation of about 600 ft. All three matched velocity on manufactures box, CCI A22 was the most accurate with CCI Choot EM and Winchester about equal. Easy to field strip and clean, however you do need the included tool to reassemble the bolt with both springs. I'm quite satisfied with the quality, Fit-N-Finish and I am happy with the purchase.
