I had a 527 a few...
I had a 527 a few years ago which I enjoyed but foolishly sold. I bought this one thinking it would be as enjoyable as the previous one, but it was not. CZ changed their wonderful iron sight design to a Fiber Optic front and driftable rear that are patently horrible with no other way to describe them. The front sight adjusts with a hex screw in the front of the base to raise or lower the sight. It is flatly a terrible adjustment system that tends to work loose after firing a few rounds. You can't tighten it up fully without raising the front sight. The bolt on my old one was silky smooth. This one bound up when pushing the bolt with the bolt handle. I had to push the rear of the bolt when closing it to keep it from binding. Overall I was not very pleased with this one and traded it off for something else at my local gun shop. It is a beautiful rifle with gorgeous wood with a deep dark bluing, and it did work properly and was very accurate when scoped. I could simply not get past what I perceived as imperfections on this one.
