The CZ 527 Varmint in .223 Remington is a bolt action rifle built on the classic CZ controlled round feed system with a claw extractor. This varmint configuration features a 24-inch 1:9 twist hammer-forged heavy barrel, a single set trigger, and an American-style Kevlar stock for a rigid, durable feel. The forged, square bridge receiver is machined with an integrated 16mm dovetail for scope mounting; rings are not included.

This is an excellent...
This is an excellent rifle for prairie dog hunts. Accuracy with handloads is 1/2 inch or less at 100 yards. The barrel is a cross between a full bull barrel and a sporting light barrel. This makes the rifle heavy enough to be stable but not too heavy to carry. Sort of a walking varminter. The Kevlar stock has a wonderful palm swell that fits your right hand and assists in long range shooting in my opinion. The set trigger is great for accuracy, a very light pull. Would buy again, maybe in .204 Ruger caliber.
