The CZ 527 Varmint is a precision-oriented bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel. The rifle is stocked in American-style Turkish walnut and features a detachable five-round magazine, a two-position manual safety, and an integrated 3/8-inch dovetail mounting rail. Factory standard models do not include iron sights.

Great rifle, with...
Great rifle, with excellent build quality. Very accurate with Hornady 123g SST, repeatedly hitting a 24" steel plate at 500yrds was no problem. The single set trigger is an absolute dream. Took a buck at 150 yards and dropped him on the spot. The only complaint I have is the bolt can have trouble picking up rounds from a full magazine, seems to feed best with 3 rounds in the magazine. Bottom line, I'd recommend this rifle to anyone looking for a solid rifle chambered in 6.5G.

Had a chance today to...
Had a chance today to take the CZ 527 Varmint in 65 Grendel to the range for break-in. I had several 1/2 inch and under 3 shot groups at 100 yards. Non of the 5 shot groups were bigger than 1 and 1/4 inches. I used 123 grain Nosler Custom Competition bullets with IMR 8208 XBR powder and Sierra 100 grain varminter bullets wit H-4198 powder. I mounted a Bushnell Engage 4x16x44mm scope in Warne 30mm rings. All groups shot at 16x. The only minor complaint that I have is that this rifle did not come with scope rings. It was not advertised as such so I should not have "assumed". I have two other centerfire CZ 527 rifles and all of them shoot better than I have expected them to. After I work up a few more handloads and the rifle gets more rounds down range I have no doubt that under 1 inch groups will be the average with no problem getting 5 shot 1/2 inch groups with the proper bullet/powder/seating depth combination.
