Its 16-inch lightweight-contour barrel, carbine-length direct-impingement gas system, collapsible stock, and Magpul MOE grip provide a practical balance of handling and performance. The NS configuration is supplied without factory iron sights, while the continuous top rail is ready for a compatible optic.

Daniel Defense...
Daniel Defense manufactures superior firearms. It is lightweight and highly customizable. You get so much more than what you pay for with this rifle. This is a mil-spec rifle. The lower is CNC machined with a flared magazine opening. The finish is anodized and has a rear QD swivel attachment point. The upper is also CNC machined, has index markings and M4 feed ramps. The barrel is Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, Cold Hammer Forged, and has a 1:7 twist. The barrel length is 16″. It is lightweight and chrome lined. It has a CNC machined low profile gas block. The flash hider is type A4, made by Daniel Defense. The bolt carrier group is superior to any that I have seen on other rifles. It comes with a Magpul buttstock and a removable pistol grip. This is a flat top rifle, so you will need to add your own sights. Check out the Daniel Defense videos on YouTube and you will understand what a high quality rifle this is compared to other M4 rifles that are on the market.

I was a little weary...
I was a little weary about the lightweight barrel that this rifle has, but I decided to try it out because it was over $100 cheaper than the standard barrel. But after it arrived, most of my worries went away, and once I went to the range, I was actually glad that I went with the lightweight barrel. Excellent accuracy and the quality of this rifle is top notch. If you are looking for a high-end AR-15 without breaking the bank, this is the gun for you! The only negative thing that I have to say is that the MOE stock was a little loose, but I had expected that, and I had a Magpul CTR stock laying around! Bonus: They include rail covers, which is great!
