Product Overview
The Del-Ton Sierra 316L is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle built around forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers and a lightweight 16-inch chrome moly vanadium barrel. Its 15-inch free-floating M-LOK handguard provides flexible accessory mounting, while the continuous Picatinny top rail supports a wide range of aftermarket optics. The flat-top upper receiver uses M4 feed ramps, and the barrel features a 1:9 twist, threaded muzzle, and A2 flash hider. A five-position M4 stock allows the length of pull to be adjusted for different shooters and equipment. The rifle includes one 30-round magazine and a gun lock.

Dug through the numerous and detailed reviews of various AR platforms in consideration for my first purchase. Decided to go with this rifle based on a number of factors and features as well as overall performance from a number of sources showing that it was a decent weapon for the MSRP at most local gun shops. With a price drop the purchase was a no brainer. Now with 300 rounds of mixed .223 and 5.56 through the rifle using some bad iron sights I got to say I'm impressed and zero regrets for my purchase. Definitely a great beginner platform to tweak and learn on for a low buy in but seems to be a reliable range toy as well as capable home defense weapon.
