The DPMS GII Compact Hunter is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle chambered in .260 Remington, combining a compact hunting configuration with the familiar MSR operating system. Its 18-inch lightweight stainless steel barrel is Teflon-coated and target-crowned for durable field use. The rifle is equipped with an enhanced carbon fiber free-float handguard, Hogue grip, and adjustable B5 SOPMOD stock for improved handling and a configurable fit. Forged upper and lower receivers, a reduced-mass bolt carrier, improved bolt and barrel-extension design, a beveled magazine well, and a dual-ejector extractor system complete the GII platform.
