The DPMS MK12 is a versatile semi-automatic rifle built around the proven AR platform and chambered for .308 Win while accepting 7.62x51 NATO ammunition. Its 18-inch HBAR 416 steel barrel features a 1:10 twist rate, Teflon coating, and a Panther flash hider. The A3 flattop upper receiver and free-float quad rail provide a stable platform with extensive accessory space for mounting an optic and other equipment. A collapsible stock supports length-of-pull adjustment, while the included flip-up sight set provides a practical backup aiming solution. The rifle has a matte black finish and weighs 8.5 pounds.

This was my first...
This was my first purchase from buds. And my first AR. With a good set of glass, it can hit anything. My 2010 version likes federal 168gr -- nice to be super accurate with resonable priced ammo. 308 is such a great round to reach out and touch something even though I have moved on to 233 or 300blk for home defense. I have never had any feeding nor ejection issues. This is a great choice for a highly accurate, out of the box 308. It has all the features you want from a two stage trigger to a high quality barrel.
