The DPMS Panther GII Compact Hunter is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Win and 7.62x51 NATO. Its 16-inch lightweight 416 stainless steel barrel features a durable Teflon coating, a 1:10-inch twist rate, and a target crown for dependable accuracy. A free-floating carbon fiber handguard, Hogue pistol grip, and adjustable B5 SOPMOD stock provide a practical hunting setup with a length of pull that adapts to the shooter. The rifle includes a two-stage match trigger, lever-operated manual safety, and an optic-ready receiver for a separately selected sighting system.

Awesome gun. Tight...
Awesome gun. Tight finish. Shoots great groups. The only thing I don't care for is the ambidextrous safety. It will make you grip the rifle a little differently while shooting due to recoil. The ambidextrous saftey will be removed before the next time it is shot. Great rifle

The dpms compact...
The dpms compact hunter arrived quickly and packaged new. No issues from buds with delivery. The rifle is much nicer then expected. Although a 308. In the hand it feels like a at-15. The fit and finish is excellent. Dpms leaves plenty of room on the muzzle for threading. The rifle is super light and will make an amazing deer rifle for the mountains of NH and Maine.
