The DPMS Panther LRT-SASS is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Win and 7.62x51 NATO, configured for precision shooting, hunting, competition, and extended-range use. Its 18-inch mid-length fluted bull barrel is made from 416 stainless steel and protected by a Teflon coating. The rifle combines a billet 7029-T6 lower receiver with an extruded 7029-T6 A3 flattop upper receiver, providing a durable foundation and a practical optics-mounting platform. A Magpul PRS stock, Panther tactical grip, JP single-stage trigger, four-rail free-float handguard, MBUS sights, flash hider, and bipod complete the ready-to-use configuration.

Was looking to do a...
Was looking to do a .308 AR build when I ran across this weapon. For the price this is a good starter for long range shooting. Be aware she is a heavy girl, so don't expect to be swinging her around like an AR-15. I really can't think of any cons to this rifle. I plan on putting a 24" barrel when DPMS has them in stock again, and adding a JP low-mass bolt. Overall I am very happy with this rifle, and Bud's was great as always.
