The Faxon Firearms Ascent is a feature-focused 5.56 NATO AR-15 rifle built for dependable range use and a straightforward first modern sporting rifle purchase. It combines a forged aluminum receiver set with a tensioning screw that helps minimize movement between the upper and lower receivers. The 16-inch SOCOM-profile barrel uses a durable black nitride finish and pairs with a carbine-length gas system for familiar AR-15 operation. A 13-inch free-float M-LOK handguard provides a stable mounting surface for accessories while leaving the barrel free to perform consistently.
