The FN Herstal SCAR 16S is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and built around a short-stroke gas-piston operating system with a rotating, locking bolt. Its 16.25-inch hammer-forged, chrome-lined, free-floating barrel is paired with a factory compensator for reliable performance and controllable handling. The hard-anodized monolithic aluminum receiver provides a durable foundation for MIL-STD 1913 accessory rails at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions. Adjustable folding iron sights, an ambidextrous safety lever and magazine release, and a telescoping side-folding polymer stock provide practical handling flexibility. The stock also includes an adjustable cheekpiece, while the rifle includes one 30-round magazine.
