Product Overview
The FN M249S brings the distinctive belt-fed configuration of the iconic M249 SAW to a semi-automatic rifle platform. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it accepts standard disintegrating-link ammunition as well as 30-round magazines. Its 18.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel features a hard chrome plated bore and chamber, a 1:7 right-hand twist, and quick-change capability. The rifle includes a folding steel bipod, folding carry handle, removable heat shield, hydraulic recoil buffer, and a top-cover MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for mounting an optic or other sighting system.
