Product Overview
The FN M249S is a civilian semi-automatic rifle modeled after the FN M249 SAW. It uses a closed-bolt, gas-operated action and a robust belt-fed system chambered in 5.56 NATO, while also accepting compatible 30-round magazines. Its 18.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel features a hard chrome-plated bore and chamber for durability, and the quick-change design supports sustained use. An integrated MIL-STD-1913 top rail accommodates a wide range of optics and sighting systems. The rifle also includes a folding steel bipod, folding carry handle, removable heat shield, ergonomic polymer buttstock, hydraulic recoil buffer, and nonslip buttplate.
