The FN SCAR 16S is a 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington semi-automatic rifle built around a gas-operated short-stroke piston system that helps reduce fouling during extended use. Its 16.25-inch cold hammer forged, free-floating barrel features a hard-chromed bore and is interchangeable for serviceability and configuration flexibility. The alloy receiver and adjustable side-folding polymer stock are finished in authentic Flat Dark Earth, while the barrel and gas system have a matte black finish. Fully ambidextrous controls, a reciprocating bolt handle that can be configured on either side, folding iron sights, and integrated MIL-STD 1913 rails support a wide range of users and accessories.
