The Franklin Armory Osprey Defense OSP-16 Piston is a .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO semi-automatic rifle built around a self-regulating piston system. Its low-profile piston design fits beneath an ultra-slimline handguard with M-LOK-compatible slots on all seven sides, an integrated barrier stop, and a top Picatinny rail for mounting an optic. The gas block uses multi-faceted dispersion technology to direct excess gas forward through a vent and evenly around the piston surface, helping provide smooth operation when shooting suppressed or unsuppressed. A factory Triumvir linear-compensating flash suppressor and Black furniture complete the configuration.
