The Great Lakes Firearms GLFA AR-15 is a versatile semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223 Wylde, allowing reliable use of both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. Its forged aluminum receivers provide a durable foundation, while the flat-top upper receiver and continuous Picatinny rail offer a solid mounting position for an optic. A free-float M-LOK handguard supports accessories without adding unnecessary bulk. The 16-inch 416 stainless steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a GLFA muzzle brake to help manage muzzle movement. Let me start by saying...
Let me start by saying I NEVER review purchases unless they are deplorably bad or outstandingly good. This rifle falls into the latter category. I had never purchased anything from GLFA. I ordered this 223 Wylde, received it quickly from Bud's and went to the range today. I did not dissemble before I took it out. The box was marked "test fired" and there appeared to be a light coat of oil, so I figured, ok, it's ready. Mounted a Strike Eagle 1x6 on it. Fired around 200 shots, never had one single hang up or misfired. It works like a charm from first shot to last. took a while to get it sighted out too 100 yards. I'm a hunter, so I'm not looking for half inch groups, anything inside 1 1/2 2 inches is fine for me. The gun delivered in spades. So much for that. Brought it home, took it apart and could not help but marvel at the fit and finish. All parts came apart and went back together flawlessly. I have purchased a lot of more expensive guns that did not perform or feel as good as this one. Hats off to "Made in America".
