Ordered this rifle on Jul 17, received it on Jul 26. Nice rifle. Topped it off with a Simmons 3x9x50 8-Point scope. Loaded up a Nosler 225 grn Accubond on top of 57 grns of Reloader 15. Remington casing and WLR primer. WOW ! This gun immediately became my go to hog gun. I am totally impressed with this 35 Whelen, its the real deal ! Dont know why H&R advertize a 22" barrel, more like 19". But it is still a hoot to shoot. greg a

I ordered this rifle...
I ordered this rifle couple of weeks ago, this was my first internet gun purchase. I received a update every step of the order. This rifle is made from the New York plant now; rifle fit receiver to barrel was tight. I have played with various loads, best group was from Varget powder using Sierra 225gr; it shot a 1/2 group @ 100 yards. I owned four H&R handi rifles, some reviews are bad and good; I've had nothing but good results with all my handi's. I'm very pleased with the rifle and the service from Bud's
