A: The information from Henry's site will be the most accurate. A lot of information on here like the description of this gun for instance is just the same copy/pasted information that is on a lot of firearm retailer sites. Incidentally, I have a Henry in 357 with a 20" barrel that is 38.5" overall, so I believe that is where that number comes from. With the 24" barrel this one comes to 42.5.

A: Alan, no Sir. Velocity in a 22lr will peak around 16 to 18 inches Sir. Accuracy is not determined by barrel length. I would go with 20 inch unless you specifically want a 24 inch 22lr.
