Much heavier than I...
Much heavier than I expected for a Feels heavy in hand, great trigger and scope is good. However end of barrel was wrapped with some inane sticker. Soapy water would not soften it up to remove, soaked the sticker in gun oil-=no good it could be scraped off a plastic knife . More oil then a neighbor brought me some goo remover, soaked for 30minutes and used hard rubber dish scrapper, finally came off, more gun oil. Have not got to shoot yet. Suppressor on end of barrel makes it long ad ungainly 'small" calibre rifle

I refer to the 7.62x39...
I refer to the 7.62x39 as the "weak" 30-30 due to available bullet weights. Regardless, I really, really like this little banger and it has power enough to take Deer sized animals out to 125-150 yards (max) depending on the bullet used, its light weight, can be carried for extended distances, and ammo isn't outrageous. I believe it makes a good, close range, lightweight, dependable hunting rifle, especially if you're backpack tent-hunting Deer. I hope the entry level scope that came on it doesn't fall apart, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
