Built by Rossi this rifle is a beauty, the color on the frame and forend cap is beautiful. With 44 mag 240 gr semi jacket fl points it loads with no problem, provided you dont try and stuff the mag to capacity. Ten rounds in the mag is about all it will take in 44 mag or 44 Spl. More than that and it tends to try and put two rounds in the feed ramp at one time causing a jam. The safety lever that blocks the hammer works only on half cock, If you have it set on safe and the hammer is at full cock do not depend on it to not fire. Impact of the hammer will flip that around and strike the firing pin with enough force to fire if not put a good dent in the primer. All in all it is a good rifle for the price, Since it is supposed to be a Mod 94 replica I dont depend on that safety, just thought that since it was there it should work all the time. Other than that the workmanship is impeckable. It is smooth and easy to work. The trigger could be a bit lighter but the pull isnt excessive and it breaks clean and crisp with very little overtravel. For the money I am glad that I got 2, the second in 357.
