Well, i bought this...
Well, i bought this despite reading all the hate online about I.O. Glad i did. I now own 3 I.O. inc rifles all of which have worked flawlessly. The ONLY complaint i have so far for ANY of them is that on this rifle, the handguard has some wiggle to it. Thats it. It would seem to me that 90% of the idiots online in forums hating on I.O. inc are either AR fanboys who have never owned one, or people whose only experience with them was back when they were importing. They now make their own rifles here in the US and let me tell you, all 3 of mine, over 3000 rounds on one, still work without a hitch. Funny actually, a range i go to here in Brooksville, FL....the Phoenix gun club.....guy next to me had an AR15 with HUGE scope on it. We were both shooting at a silhouette target at only 100 yards. I almost matched him shot for shot with just iron sights with this rifle. out of 20 shots i hit 16 he got 18, He was almost insulted that my cheap little AK nearly matched him and his $1500 AR with ridiculous scope on it. Love this rifle! I also own a I.O. inc Hellhound and the polished AK.....all 3 are perfect. I personally will keep buying all my AK's from I.O.

Gun looks great and...
Gun looks great and functions flawlessly. Exactly what I would expect from a weapon made in the USA. If I had to nitpick, the grip on this thing is kind of ugly. But I just replaced it with a black hogue grip for cheap. Regardless, its an outstanding AK and after 300 rounds I havent had a single problem.

The first thing I...
The first thing I noticed opening the box is that the cardboard inside the box was crushed. Looking at the gun closely I found several scratches and dents in the wood caused by the magazines rattling around. The next thing I noticed was that the pistol grip was beige. It was black in the Bud's picture. It doesn't look like it belongs with this gun. It doesn't tie in with the black metal or the wood furniture. The biggest thing is a machining error. I noticed is that the cap that screws onto the muzzle to protect the threads was off center by about 30 degrees. It had been drilled incorrectly so that the spring loaded locator forces it into a misaligned position. This doesn't give me much confidence in the rest of the machining. Incase you thought there was there is no adjustment for windage on the rear sight.
