The Just Right Carbines JR Carbine is a .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol-caliber rifle built around a simple, reliable straight blowback operating system. Its pinned fixed M-4 style stock provides a compact overall length, while the free-floating quad rail offers flexible accessory mounting. A machined Picatinny rail runs along the top of the receiver for mounting an optic. The ambidextrous bolt and switchable charging handle can be configured for left- or right-hand use. The receiver, trigger housing, and magazine well are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, and the rifle accepts Glock-pattern magazines with a 10+1 capacity.
