BUYER BEWARE - THE GUN...
BUYER BEWARE - THE GUN WOULD NOT CHAMBER ANY ROUNDS, and of course NOT FIRE. The Safety was close to impossible to go from Safe to Fire and back again. I brought the firearm home and followed the Instruction Manual to disassemble. I found; 1On close inspection the barrel ramps (that guides the round into the chamber) was off by more than 45 degrees. The barrel was extremely hard to remove. On closer inspection I notice no key sticking up in the bottom of the receiver to align the barrel to the receiver so the barrels bullet ramps Would Not Align to the magazine well ramp. There is at least 1/8 inch gap between the barrel ramp and the magazine ramp. It also appears as is the barrel notches, that engage the ejector plate, are also not aligned. In fact, Im not sure why they have the notches in the barrel because it (the barrel) is To Short To Lock The Barrel Notches To The Ejector Plate. 2The Flash Suppressor, Forend, and Castle Nut Were Not Even Finger Tight. 3For the safety (moving from safe to fire) was because (I believe) due to metal dust or milling machine fragments which I noticed when I used compressed air to blow out the receiver trigger area. I also noticed the safety rubbing or scratching on the nickel plating where it sets in the receiver. I totally oiled (with Break Free CLP) and it seem better but the scratching around the area where the safety comes in contact with the receiver is annoying On A New, never fire (by me) gun. I contacted Buds Gun Shop and a Camran A. was as supportive as he could be. Of course because it was transferred (through FFL) to me he could not take it back and refund my money. He offered to send me a shipping tag to get it to JR Carbine and I mention that it should be JR Carbine that provides shipping, And Not Buds. Buds has always been great to deal with, but in this case they should really stop selling JR Carbines. I emailed and called and left a message last night 12/2. A Tom Fargnoli called me this morning (heres where it gets even better) and had an attitude and seemed to be more annoyed with me, and me finding these issues than with taking care of the issues. With attitude, his comment, Ill get a return shipping label in the next day or so really put me over the edge. Absolutely Incredible, I've checked with several Gun Stores in the Plano Texas area and it appears I'll lose at lease $250. Save yourself money, Dont Waste It On JR Carbine.
