The LMT Defense LM308SSR L129A1 Reference is a 7.62x51 NATO semi-automatic rifle based on the weapon system contracted by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. Its MWS monolithic upper receiver is machined from a single aerospace aluminum forging and provides an uninterrupted Picatinny rail for mounting optics and accessories. The quick-change barrel system uses side-accessible locking bolts that secure the barrel extension around its full circumference and support repeatable return to zero. A 16-inch stainless steel barrel, low-profile gas block, direct-impingement operation, ambidextrous controls, SOPMOD stock, and two-stage trigger provide a versatile configuration for precision-oriented rifle use. Flip-up front and rear sights are included, along with one 20-round magazine, rail panels, and push-button swivels.
