The LMT Defense MARS-L New Zealand Reference rifle is a modern 5.56 NATO semi-automatic rifle built around LMT’s CQB Monolithic Rail Platform upper receiver and ambidextrous MARS-L lower receiver. Its 16-inch chromoly barrel uses a 1:7 rifling twist and direct-impingement operating system, while the monolithic receiver provides a rigid, continuous Picatinny top rail for optics and accessory mounting. The rifle includes LMT metric flip-up sights, a SureFire WarComp flash hider, SOPMOD stock, ergonomic textured grip, two-stage trigger, ambidextrous controls, and a carbine-length quad rail configuration. One Magpul windowed 30-round magazine, tactical two-point sling, rail panel covers, torque wrench, and owner’s manual are included.
