The Magnum Research MLR22AT is a .22 LR semi-automatic thumbhole rifle built around a lightweight ambidextrous thumbhole stock and Magnum Lite graphite bull barrel technology. At 17 inches, the full-floating graphite barrel is designed for stiffness and rimfire accuracy, while the CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum receiver includes an integral Weaver-style rail for mounting optics. A cross-bolt safety adds straightforward, reliable control for everyday range use.

Out of the box and...
Out of the box and with a quick cleaning this shot 1.25" groups at 100 yards with a $108 UTG 3-12x scope. After swapping out the trigger for a Ruger BX (also from Bud's ) I took this to the 100 yd range with CCI Standard Velocity ammo. Off a bench rest and bag 3 out of 12 or so 5 shot groups were better than 1" the best being .55". I may have got the best one ever made but I'm thinking they probably are all the best you can buy for the money. Even with Xmas time pressure Bud's delivery time was great.

All I can say is WOW!...
All I can say is WOW! First thing I noticed when opening the box was a very nice FREE hard case that I was not expecting. Then my experience just got better. The firearm is a beautiful piece of American craftsmanship. Pictures don't do it justice. Very nice balance and smooth action. They don't advertise coming with a trigger job, but they do. The trigger was much better than a factory Ruger. You don't have to spend any additional money to "trick it out", Magnum Research has made every improvement over a Ruger that you will ever need. This gun costs twice as much as a factory Ruger, but you get way more than that in value. An almost too good to be true bargain.
