The Marlin 1894 Trapper is a compact lever-action rifle chambered for .357 Mag and capable of firing .38 Special ammunition. Its 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel provides a durable, precise platform, while the 1/2x28 muzzle threads accommodate compatible accessories. The matte stainless receiver and barrel are paired with a weather-resistant black laminate stock and forend. Skinner Bear Buster front and adjustable receiver-mounted Trapper peep rear sights support fast target acquisition. An oversized lever loop, soft rubber buttpad and sling swivel studs make this short, quick-handling rifle practical for field use.

First hold in your hands is an impressive feel of a quality rifle, fit & finish is excellent, even the laminate stock looks better in person than any photograph. Very satisfied with the size and weight, a great addition and a fantastic teaching tool for learning a lever gun by younger less experienced shooters, and has a safety, which I like very much. Absolutely love the fact I can shoot 38 special, so it's economical and easy on the shoulder and eyes to shoot with the Skinner sights which also are a huge plus in my opinion. Only thing it needs is a nice gunstock leather cover to protect this beauty from scratches and a matching sling! My new favorite lever action!

The Marlin 1894...
The Marlin 1894 Trapper in the .357 Magnum can't be beat. Quick handling is absolutely correct, action is quick too, and mine is as smooth as silk, right out of the box. Shot .38, .38+P, and .357 mag with no issues whatsoever. Marlins aren't Marlins anymore. They're made by Ruger and this one is out of the park! Fit, finish, materials choice - top tier. I also bought the Smith & Wesson 1854 in .357 mag and I returned it. In comparison with this Marlin 1894 Trapper, well there IS no comparison! The S&W has a floppy trigger, the action is stiff compared to the Marlin, and it's heavy and unbalanced. I returned the S&W and kept the Marlin. I love it so much, it even has a threaded barrel. You get what you pay for. It's perfect,
