This is the best out...
This is the best out of the box iron sight .22 rifle for 99% of the people novice or experienced shooter. If you want to tinker and trick out a gun then get a 10/22. But if you want to take a gun out of the box with everything you need except ammo and cleaning gear, this is the way to go. Not only is is the best value with two mags and a sling but it is more than capable for anything less than top level competition.

Smooth functioning,...
Smooth functioning, accurate, dependable rifle properly setup and well suited for Appleseed. Had a little trouble at first with the rear sight coming loose; clamping onto receiver grooves is not the most secure method. However, a little Locktite solved the problem. Hopefully Ruger will bring the 795 back, now that's beginning to roll Marlins out again.

This is a super accurate rifle and the addition of the tech sights is great! We keep this as a pure iron sight rifle. The fit and finish are great and this rifle has yet to have a failure at the range. A lot of folks complain about only having a ten round mag but now that pro mag makes a reliable 25 round mag that point is moot. If you want an affordable, reliable and accurate .22lr don't hesitate on this one!
