The Marlin 915YS Youth is a downsized .22 single-shot bolt-action rifle built to help new shooters get comfortable with safe, simple operation. It cocks on opening and includes an easy-load feed ramp, along with a thumb safety that can be engaged while loading and unloading. Stainless steel barrel and bolt combine with a Mar-Shield finish for dependable weather resistance, while the walnut-finished hardwood Monte Carlo stock helps provide a solid, comfortable grip.

I bought the stainless...
I bought the stainless Marlin 15y back in 02 or 03 for about $150. it was, unfortunately, too big for 3 of my 4 kids. I bought a cricket 22 to for the smaller three. As they've gotten bigger, this rifle has been perfect. It has been just that right size before they're ready for a full size .22. It has proven to be worth every penny. It is a quality gun, and actually caused me to become a fan of Marlin. I am shocked a bit at today's prices for this gun, but taking into consideration how much my kids like this gun, I would definitely buy it again.
