The Marlin Firearms 1895 is a classic lever-action rifle chambered for the powerful .450 Marlin cartridge. This configuration features a compact 18.5-inch non-ported barrel, a solid-top receiver, and deeply blued metal surfaces, with a sandblasted receiver top to help reduce glare. Its American black walnut straight-grip stock includes cut checkering, a ventilated recoil pad, Mar-Shield finish, and swivel studs. A fixed tubular magazine provides 4+1-round capacity, while adjustable semi-buckhorn and ramp front sights support practical field use. The receiver is tapped for a scope mount or receiver sight.

I purchased one of these Marlin 1895 M .450's and am truly satisfied with the rifle. It is an awsome brush gun and will take the largest of game as well. This rifle is not for the timid shooter it has a very strong recoil and you will know each and every time you pull the triger on this very well made rifle. It is light weight (6 3/4 lbs). Hornady has both the standard lead tip bullets and the new lever evolution as well. With the new Lever Evelution ammo the gun is +3.0" @ 100 yards and -2.2" @ 200 yards. If you are looking for a rifle that will take a Deer or a Rihno this is the rifle you want. I love mine. Thanks and good luck. Robert Bush
