Love this rifle and it...
Love this rifle and it never fails to receive envy from friends. The ONLY negative thing I have to say about it, and I saw this in reviews prior to my purchase, is that the edges of the lever are sharp. When I received the gun and played with it, I thought the other reviewers were crazy. Not sharp at all. HOWEVER, this 45-70 has a bit of recoil. The lever has drawn blood more than once across the back of my fingers. My lever now has a leather wrap and I have a matching pair of gloves...you know...like in the cowboy movies. You can't go wrong with Marlin or Bud's. (BTW, if you buy one of these, you have to shoot a watermelon with Hornady LEVERevolution at about 50 yrds. Just sayin')
