I bought this rifle...
I bought this rifle sometime back for deer hunting.I h ave yet been able to hunt with it yet but I have shot it about 20 times and I will say this it is a tack driver at 100 yeards. The only thing I done to the rifle is changed out the scope with a little bigger scope. if I had to rate this rifle . I would have to give it a 9. I am well pleased with it for the money.

Rifle looks good...
Rifle looks good aesthetically and mechanically, especially for the price. This kicks like a MULE though. I brought 100 rounds to the range to test it out and I could only get thru 8 rounds before my shoulder hurt. I highly recommend a padded stock or some other mitigation for the kick. For a bolt-action this is not as critical since the likelyhood of running 100s of rounds at a sitting is low. I have a .308 M1A with Wooden stock and that doesnt hold a candle to the kick of this 3006 gun. I will say that my 8 shots all hit the 2" bullseye at 100 yards... pretty impressive for my abilities. Bottom line, if you dont mind the extreme kick, this gun is a good purchase.
