Lightweight and way to...
Lightweight and way to easy to shoot, The Mossberg Blaze is an interesting 22LR rifle. At 3.3 lbs and a short LOP the youth model may be the perfect trainer for kids and adults who don't have long arms. I have run 200 rounds of Remington Golden's with only one fail to feed, and 50 rounds of CCI 40grn with no fails. I own several 22 rifles and this is by far the funnest to shoot. But as usual all really fun things require a bit of a trade off. In this case it is breaking down the rifle for cleaning. After running 250 rounds I went through the process of removing the 16 screws to field strip. My Blaze came packed with silicon lube throughout the receiver and trigger assemblies from the factory. I cleaned most of that lube off the bolt and receiver areas, leaving the gobs of silicon inside the trigger group since that area of the rifle doesn't get very dirty. The rest of the receiver and bolt areas got a light lube using Slip2000 as that is a safe lube to use around plastics. The sights are a bit blocky but accurate enough for 2 inch groups at 30 yards. I chose 10 round mags to keep from blowing through too much ammo, but you better buy a few spares because this truly is the most enjoyable 22LR rifle I have shot.

Good gun for the $. Lightweight, easy to clean and very accurate. I placed a scope on top and it drives nails at 50 yards. Good for predator and small game along with range time fun. Really nice little...
Really nice little rifle. Reasonably easy to strip and clean. Reassembly not too bad. Super fun little shooter. With the Dead Ringer scope you can hit the 10 ring from 75 yards. I thought that was exceptional considering who was holding the rifle. All in all can't beat it for the money. Buds is always good to deal with. 4th purchase in 18 months and never a problem.
