I bought this for my...
I bought this for my daughter for deer hunting in Texas. I've since learned that she is pretty tough and switched her to a .308. I like this rifle. I put a Nikon 3-9 scope on it and took it out to the range. My first attempt to site it in was not successful. I was using green tipped 5.56 rounds and the target looked like it had been used for shotgun practice. I got some regular FMJ 5.56 rounds and sited it in using 9 rounds. It's a good carry rifle and I use it for pigs. My one gripe is the buffer group is loud when firing. That spring boing right next to my ear took some getting used to. I did upgrade the trigger just as an experiment and like the rifle even more. I like the 1:9 twist because it allows me to use up to 62 grain bullets when reloading. My daughter still considers the rifle to be hers but it is sitting in my house as I write this.

I got one heck of a good deal on this Mossberg MMR that it was way too hard to say no. Good lookin' and fun rifle, trigger is not the greatest but that can be worked on after a break in period. I got the matching MOB Nikon 223 scope and mount and then added a bi-pod - got her bore-sighted and zeroed. So far so good! Easy transaction! A+ for Bud's and my transfer dealer.
