The rifle is a tack...
The rifle is a tack driver. Took about 50-100 rounds to break in the barrel and find the ammo it likes. Shoots under 3/4" at 100 yards with several different varmint loads, about 1 to 1.5" with 55 grain ball ammo. Haven't shot any 62grain ball yet. The rifle seems to prefer light, fast varmint ammo. As far as magazines go, I have had no problems with 20 round aluminum magazines or the factory 5 rounders. Offhand balance is great, length of pull is good for bench rest and offhand. Stock geometry is comfortable for both. Recoil in 5.56 and .223 is negligible. If you're looking for great varmint/bench rifle with a sharp looking stock, this is the gun for you.

Well I have not taken...
Well I have not taken this out yet for a long range test, however there have been plenty of documented testimonys as to its accuracy and ability... the one thing I will note is that it is very forward heavy...and overall a little heavy.... this is in no way a rifle to be fired free hand... it will require a rest or bi pod at all times... I expected to fire this rifle from a rest but did not realize it's over all weight... while not the heavyest it is not the rifle for long haul packing. It is a very good sniper rifle for the urban Arena , not the rifle I want to pack in on my back for 15 miles....

I haven't got to the...
I haven't got to the range with my rifle yet but after scrubbing off the factory grease and swabbing out the bore, mounting a sling and scope, this new MVP is as pretty as the ads and other reviews say it is. The factory mag fits fine and loaded rounds slide into the chamber just like they're supposed to. I have no doubt this rifle is a real performer but the snow has kept me indoors. If I can get to the range soon I will edit the review to include range results. So far the Mossberg MVP Varmint in 5.56/.223 has been 5 stars all the way. Thanks Bud's. It's a winner.
