Recently purchase this...
Recently purchase this rifle in 375 Ruger caliber. Buds was awesome and shipping was quick and the rifle showed up beautiful. Took it out to shoot it and loaded it with Hornady 270 gr. ammo, and on the 3rd round the stock shattered on both sides of the support bolts! Thankfully it didn't fly apart and cause any bodily damage. I contacted Mossberg and they were good about accepting it back and offered a replacement stock, all I had to do was remove the stock and send it in to them, they paid for the shipping both ways!. Took about two weeks from the time they received it to get it back which isn't bad. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but the stock feels heavier and appears to be made of real walnut this time and not just walnut stained balsa wood. I will tell you this, the rifle has a fairly stout kick, so some shooters may want to invest in a limbsaver for this rifle.. I have no doubt by the power it has that it would drop anything on this planet except for an alien maybe. Mossberg stood behind it with no hassles and thats a big plus.

For the price you...
For the price you couldn't ask for a better "dangerous game" rifle! I have no use for this rifle but for the price I wanted to give it a try. My current set up consists of an Aimpoint 9000L and standard Hornady ammunition. I'm able to get respectable groups (minute of deer) using the 250 gr. GMX, 270 gr. SP-RP, 300 gr. DGS/DGX at 100 yards with only a red dot. Recoil isn't as bad as I had anticipated with such a light rifle but you will notice the difference from a standard cartridge. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
