The Mossberg Patriot Combo combines a field-ready bolt-action rifle with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 riflescope, Vortex rings, and lens caps. Chambered in 7mm PRC, it uses a fluted 24-inch threaded barrel with 5/8x24 threading, a recessed match crown, and a spiral-fluted bolt for dependable operation. Its synthetic stock supports practical use in demanding conditions, while the patented LBA user-adjustable trigger can be tuned from 2 to 7 pounds for a customized trigger pull. A detachable drop-box magazine provides a 3+1-round capacity.

I've been looking for...
I've been looking for an all around rifle from elk to whitetails, from all reports the 7mm PRC seemed to fit the bill. Being retired I don't have alot of extra cash and for sure not going into debt for a new rifle. The Mossberg combo hit all the marks and as usual Buds had a good price and good service. Loaded up some 150 grain Hornady soft points with a reduced load of H1000 for deer hunting....shot 5 groups, the smallest just at one inch the largest just under a inch and a half, for me more than adequate. Unlike todays generation of bigmouths, showoffs and bragger's....I'm old school and don't take shots at 600,700,800 yds.
