Out of the box this...
Out of the box this rifle is easy to sight in, and does not take long to make long range shots. The muzzle brake makes a BIG difference when shooting, and makes this gun fun to shoot. At an affordable price, this is a great rifle.

It's not a terrible...
It's not a terrible rifle, it isn't a $600 rifle, but it isn't terrible. The stock is flimsy, like more flimsy than the standard Patriot models. The bedding is non existent, it's two tiny plastic tabs. The majority of content online about this rifle is complaints about those tabs breaking after 5-10 rounds. So far I have 33 rounds through the rifle, they haven't broken. One of them does appear to be in the process of breaking though. Shooting, is a lot less painful than one would expect from a 300 Winchester magnum, that muzzle break is a literal life saver. It isn't super accurate, but it's capable of holding a half inch group at least at 50 yards. I don't know about 100, I never finished sighting it in at 50. That scope was so unbelievably off, that I had to have a stranger come shoot the rifle just to make sure it wasn't me. I had to adjust it A FOOT RIGHT. Straight out of the box it was an entire foot, twelve inches off center at 50 yards. Overall feelings, this is a good rifle, if it had a $399 price tag. It is in no way, shape or form worth the $610 I paid. I do not recommend this rifle, for $610 you can get a far superior rifle to this one. Mossberg really dropped the ball with the Patriot Night Train.
