First let me start off...
First let me start off by saying that I have used Nosler products for years and have nothing but positive things to say about their reloading products and amo. With that in mind I recently purchased a Nosler M48 Liberty in 6.5 Creedmore.I noticed when I picked up the rifle from my FFL that the bolt was difficult to cock after firing.I decided that the issue would probably work itself out with a good cleaning and some use.In hindsight that was a big mistake on my part. After breaking in the barrel the bolt was still very difficult to cock.I could not recock it from the offhand position.I called Nosler and they had me send it back to repair the issue.I was told it would take a week to 10 days for repair. After several calls the rifle arrived back 9 weeks later. It wasn't any better than when i sent it back.I decided to take the rifle to my gunsmith. He told me the rifle could not be repaired. As I prepared to send the rifle back for a second time the floor plate pin fell out.I sent the rifle back a second time and got it back about 2 weeks later.Again not repaired. The rear part of the bolt was replaced and looked like new but the rifle was still very difficult to cock. They fixed the floor plate pin.what good is a bolt action rifle that can't be used for a follow up shot? My advise to anyone that wants to purchase one of these rifles is to try it before you buy it.Ive looked at 6 of these rifles and they are all the same.Oh and by the way the accuracy was average at best.
