Rifle arrived on time...
Rifle arrived on time and in beautiful condition. Field stripped for initial cleaning and lubing without incident. Be sure to follow manufacturer's instructions about removing the front grip before attempting to turn the lever hinge pin so you don't scratch the finish. Reassembling the rifle, particularly reinserting the lever hinge pin became an exercise in frustration (I'm at shooter, not an engineer). The pin feeds through several holes in the action and, after several hours of attempting this on my own, I gave up and took it to a gunsmith. He, of course, had the right knowledge and tools to make it work and accomplished in five minutes what I couldn't do in a day and a half. Took it to the range and it shoots as expected but shoots six to eight inches low on a paper target at 50 yards. You can raise the sights but I have figured out a way to lower them other than to use Kentucky windage and aim low. I haven't been able to try it out at longer distances yet.
