The Proof Research Ascension is a lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 7mm Backcountry. This Black Jungle model features a 20-inch Proof carbon fiber-wrapped barrel and a lightweight carbon fiber stock, combining reduced carry weight with the stiffness and accuracy expected from a precision-oriented hunting rifle. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, while the threaded muzzle supports compatible muzzle devices or suppressors.
