The RemArms Model 700 SPS Varmint is a precision-oriented bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington. Its 26-inch heavy-contour 5R barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and is designed to deliver consistent accuracy for varmint hunting and precision target shooting. The rifle features a black synthetic stock with a vented beavertail fore-end, over-molded grip panels, sling swivel studs, and a SuperCell recoil pad. Its solid-steel Model 700 receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, while the hinged floorplate provides a durable four-round internal magazine.

Great experience from...
Great experience from buds as always. As for the rifle i wish i could say the same. Upon looking over the rifle at my ffl dealer cosmetically looked good but had some flaws in function that i knew i could take care of. The internal magazine follower would not slide freely in the housing. And the bolt release would not re-engage after the bolt is inserted via spring as designed and had to be manually lifted each time. And the biggest issue was the bolt would bind and not close without EXTREME force. Looking at the bolt raceways in the action, it appears the are not cut square to the chamber. Very dissapointed in this rifle, contacted remington and it is on its way back to be inspected. Terrible QC from remington.
