My rifle came from the...
My rifle came from the new facility in Alabama. I will start with the good. The stock is beautiful, as a BDL should be, with no flaws. The action was very well machined, and smooth. Also, the 5R barrel shoots great. I can cloverleaf 3 shots of Fed 168gr match regularly...Now the bad & ugly... The factory left a burr in the chamber, which I had a gunsmith remove. The flimsy floorplate was opening during firing, so I replaced it with a Pacific steel floorplate. The extractor wasn't installed right, so I converted to the M16 extractor. Finally, the outside of the barrel did not have a uniform finish, not as well polished as the action, and rusted! I applied some cold blue, which time will tell if that helps or not. Bottom line, the core product is solid, but too many dumb miskates are going out the door. Be prepared to put $$$ in to get it where you want it to be.

I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. Buds shipped as soon as the payment cleared and the rifle was in my hands very quickly. The rifle was as advertised, it is as accurate as it is good looking. I paired mine with a Leupold base, rifleman scope rings so that the iron sites may be used, and 3-9x40 VX Freedom.

This rifle is...
This rifle is BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately, I cannot give it 5 stars. The machine tolerances seem to be laxer than my BDL purchased 40 years ago. The bolt release button is not smooth. I needed to use needle nose pliers to push the "sweet spot" on the release button to get the bolt out. Now I'm trying to smooth out the release. Another gripe, the product was advertised as having an X-Mark externally adjustable trigger. It does not. Remington stopped using the X-Mark in July 2023 and replaced it with an approx. 4 lb fixed trigger. Finally, the information used to purchase the firearm stated it was 7.62/.308but upon receipt the barrel was stamped .308 only. Just got through break-in for the barrel. Don't know how it shoots at this time.
