I've bought several...
I've bought several Model 700s over the years, including a beautiful new wood BDL model back in the 1980s, but this frosted stainless basic model ADL has the best fit, finish, feel and solidity of them all. It has the soft R3 recoil pad, an ultra-smooth bolt, a very nice new generation trigger with zero creep and a 3.8# pull, and an SPS style synthetic stock which looks and feels much better than the plain ADL basic black stocks of the past. I'm still carefully breaking it in with some lapping compound but already it's achieved some good two and three shot groups at 100 yds. A really excellent rifle. Thanks Buds.
